Brushless Pump / How Much Pressure
How much pressure does your Brushless Pump push?
The idea that a pump "puts out" pressure is a misconception. Pumps don’t generate pressure directly; instead, they produce flow. Pressure is determined by the bypass regulator’s setting, not the pump itself. Most fuel injection pumps lack internal bypasses and can operate at pressures well above normal limits (100+ PSI) if needed. With the correct bypass regulator and return line, a pump can run anywhere from 3-PSI to 73-PSI, regardless of whether it’s an A750 or Brushless 10-GPM pump. Proper setup ensures optimal performance.
