Bypass Style Regulator / Carbureted Fuel System / Nitrous Kit / Second Regulator

I’m using a bypass style regulator for my carbureted fuel system.  I want to install a nitrous kit.  How do I set up a second regulator, either static or bypass, to control nitrous fuel pressure?

To prevent engine damage, exercise caution! Adding a second bypass regulator set to a lower pressure than the primary will default the system to that lower pressure. Feeding a static regulator from an existing bypass system won’t provide adequate inlet pressure. A dead-head regulator requires twice the inlet to outlet pressure, while a bypass regulator equalizes inlet and outlet pressure. Running a nitrous static regulator at 5 PSI with only 7 PSI inlet can cause lean-out and engine damage.

Unless you install a separate fuel system (recommended), raise the bypass regulator pressure to 15-25 PSI to feed multiple static regulators for carburetors and nitrous stages. Aeromotive’s stackable modular regulators (part #13217) simplify installation, and using bypass regulator #11217 on the last stacked unit creates necessary line pressure for carburetors and nitrous stages, ideal for inline pumps like the A1000 or Eliminator.
