Fuel System / High Base Fuel Pressure / Aeromotive Regulator / Electric Pump

I need a fuel system that can run high base fuel pressure between 70-120 PSI continuous.  What Aeromotive regulator can I use, and is there an electric pump you would recommend?
No single Aeromotive electric fuel pump is suitable for continuous duty above 70 PSI. However, some Aeromotive EFI bypass regulators, like part numbers 13113 for 50-90 PSI and 13132 or 13133 or 13134 for 75-130 PSI with high-pressure spring, can handle higher pressures. For such high-pressure needs, mechanical pumps (belt or hex drive) are ideal, as they maintain high RPM and flow under pressure without slowing down like electric pumps.

Electric pumps can be used for high-pressure applications, but only in pairs plumbed *in series*—where one pump feeds the other. This setup preserves flow at elevated pressures, unlike *parallel* plumbing, which increases flow but not pressure. For example, two A1000 pumps in series can support 1,000 FWHP at 120 PSI, as each pump handles half the pressure. Combining pumps with similar flow curves is crucial; mismatched pumps (e.g., a stock pump with an A1000) can cause issues. Always match pumps within 10-20% flow rates for optimal performance.
