Bypass Regulators / Bypass Return Line
I have one of your bypass regulators, I don’t want to run a return line, can I plug the bypass?
No, you must use a properly sized return line from the bypass port to the fuel tank. Bypass regulators are normally closed, allowing flow only when pressure lifts the poppet, sending excess fuel back to the tank. Blocking the return port spikes pressure to the pump’s max (often 100+ PSI), risking engine damage and pump failure.
**Warning:** Blocking the bypass port can permanently damage the fuel pump and disrupt engine operation.
